The long awaited update to your favorite mIRC script has finally been released! Containing many fixes to bugs reported by users, new features, and more!

If you know an update for 1.3.29 is available and the script is telling you there are no updates available, there is an easy fix to remedy the issue. Simply type this command in an open mIRC window:
After running the command, check for updates again and you should now see you have a new update. If you no new updates are still not shown, then either you have the latest version or an outdated version that is no longer supported. Again, always have the latest version installed, and let me know if you have any issues, suggestions, or bugs to report. A security vulnerability has been found in mIRC that can crash the client. Joosed mIRC 1.3.30 was released to only provide a workaround for the issue until a new mIRC update is released, and to fix a bug in the updater not clearing out update files, which can cause the updater to not detect new updates. It is important that all users currently install the latest version of mIRC and Joosed mIRC, and check for updates to make sure you have the latest bug fixes and security update. Note: 1.3.30 is an online update only, available for only 1.3.29. This does NOT mean users running older versions should not have the latest version installed. The issue affects those versions as well. This update is imperative for users of mIRC 6.33. mIRC 6.34 was released to address issues with the way it executes scripts, which could cause undesirable results. 1.3.29 was released to increase compability, which now offers a fallback method for text input so future mIRC updates still continue to work without requiring an update for new versions. Only one feature was added for Windows Vista users: the ability to display your Windows Experience Index. The updater was also updated to address issues and offer “version activated” updates. This means new updates will be for specific versions of the script. For example, 1.3.30 is released and is only activated for 1.3.29 users. This means any other versions used will not be offered the update. This helps decrease problems that could arise during updates for older versions that are known to have issues. Another mIRC release, and another Joosed update. Compatibility is increased for mIRC 6.33, the updater is now fixed and should install future updates that update files in use without requiring a restart or some sort of workaround, and some other bugs were fixed, namely issues with highlighting along with a new feature to make the mIRC Taskbar button flash when your nick is mentioned. Joosed mIRC 1.3.x also turns 1 today, along with its scripter turning 25. Note: This update is only available through the installer due to issues with the updater in 1.3.27. UPDATE: The installer is now fixed with the correct mIRC version.

How to configure WMPmIRC Plugin for Joosed mIRCPosted by dirty in tutorial, tags: plugin, windows media playerThis plugin lets you display what you are playing in Windows Media Player in mIRC. I will show you how to configure it to work with 1.3.27 of Joosed mIRC. Don’t worry. It’s not too hard. After a long wait, 1.3.27 is finally out! Along with a new and improved installer, many bug fixes and a few new features were added. It’s highly recommened that you install this update, since many bugs that users complained about are fixed. In the meantime, 1.3.28 will be released shortly in a week or so that will only contain small bug fixes found in 1.3.27. Enjoy the release! In the midst of working at my job, and attempts to work on the new TechJoose site, I have made several improvements to the scripts installer.
The default install directory was changed to allow for other scripts to be installed and not conflict with Joosed IRC. This means Joosed IRC will no longer use “%APPDATA%\mIRC”. Vista users will no longer get the message, “This program might not have installed correctly.” This is because the installer is fully UAC aware. Meaning, it explicitly tells Vista what to run the installer as. In this installers case, it’ll be told to run as Admin. These changes will be included in Joosed IRC 1.3.27. More info on that will be coming soon. ‘Til then, keep the suggestions rollin’ in and I’ll do my best to include them in the next update. With the recent release of mIRC 6.31, 1.3.26 is now available for compatibility with 6.31. Only a bug or two was fixed for this release. The installer is now x64 compatible, meaning the script should install properly. Since this release has gotten stable, I will soon begin work on 1.4 which will include a revamped updater to allow for incremental updates and give details about each one. I will make a post sometime soon to elaborate more on what I have planned for 1.4. In the meantime, 1.4 will not be available for a while as I have begun to work on a php based framework for the main site: www.techjoose.net. As always send your bug reports and/or suggestions to me or post them on the forums(preferred method). Yet another bug fix release for Joosed Irc. Random/Continuous playing of mp3’s should work now, updater no longer floods if there is 404 (Not found), along with the updater working again, these are just a few of the short list of bugs fixed. Since the updater is working now, future updates will be offered through the scripts updater along with the installer just in case of a failure. The installer should now install the mirc settings on a clean install. The next version should be able to detect if mirc is running, and more.
